Although remodels seem expensive, there are hacks you can do to drastically lower the budget of your next home project.

48. Get A Sleep Routine

As mentioned above, sleep is essential to improving your mind, body and soul. You need sleep, we all need sleep, to recover and improve our energy. 

Going back to the # 1 item on this list, forming a habit around sleep will help you feel amazing and set you up to better crush your life goals.

49. Upgrade Your Mattress

If you’re still sleeping on an old hand me down mattress, you’re doing sleep wrong.

Don’t sleep on weighted blankets… sleep under them. 

Weighted blankets help improve your sleep by providing deep pressure stimulation which has a calming effect on the body. They also help reduce tossing and turning, allowing you to stay in a deeper sleep longer. 

Most weighted blankets are filled with glass beads which allow for much better cooling. I was worried about sweating under a heavy blanket when I first got mine, but I was actually too cold with just the weighted blanket, so I had to add another on top.

There are plenty of products out there to help you monitor the quality of your sleep. Understanding your sleep patterns can help you make adjustments to your sleep routine like avoiding caffeine and electronics before bed.

It can also help you identify sleep apnea, insomnia and other sleep disorders which can be detrimental to your mental and physical health. 

53. Drink This Before Bed

Here’s a sleep hack I learned from Tim Ferriss’s book “Tools of Titans”. 

Mix 2 tablespoons of pure apple cider vinegar (with the mother), 1 tablespoon of natural honey (not the high fructose knock off stuff) and hot water (enough to fill up a regular sized coffee mug). Drink this before bed and it will help you fall asleep.

Be warned, it doesn’t taste great, and my wife says it smells like feet, but boy does it do wonders for my sleep.
